I love this poem Mikaela!!! I like the fact that it has that searching-for-a-new-beginning meaning behind it when you reference that you're "trying to find a clean page." It says so much in how little is actually there. I like how you make it seem as though you're emotionally making yourself stronger by having to see his name written everywhere in your everyday used item. Very well done :)
I totally agree with Abby. It's great. And it just starts without the notion that the piece is heading in that direction, btu then it just happens, much like what's going on in the poem itself. Very nice.
I really like this poem. I think the fact that it's a minimalist piece adds to the effectiveness and meaning. Great job!
